Hello Tower Defenders! We are rolling out a new build on Android shortly, and plan to be fully rolled out by tomorrow. Here is a look at the changes:

Bot Improvements

We noted a number of issues after the 28.0 release, notably around Bots. These are the changes you should expect:

  • Fixed an issue where Flame Bot's Damage Reduction was not calculating its values correctly

  • Bot Bot's boost to Damage Reduction is now permanently applied to the affected enemy

  • Changed Thunder Bot's stun to be an effect applied to the enemy, rather than as an area of effect

  • Echoing Shot now also boosts Death Wave's Effect waves (Armor Stripping and Damage Amp)

  • Titan Shock's formula has been adjusted to be even stronger against higher mass enemies

  • Maximum Power's boost to Titan Shock is now permanently applied to affected enemy

  • Bot Preset names can now be renamed

  • Synchronicity is now unique per preset

  • Amplify Bot's Lab Slider is no longer tied to Bot Bot's Lab Slider

Stun and Miss Decay Mechanics

We have implemented a number of decay mechanics that will reduce the effectiveness of stun and miss mechanics. We believe that stun, slow, and miss strategies are all valuable to the meta and do not want to nerf them; however, we want to avoid situations where enemies are around for dozens of waves with no intention to kill them. As such, we have implemented three solutions. These three changes are present in both Tier and Tournament runs. Additionally, all three of these changes are applied per enemy, not globally. All decays are multiplicative.

  • Stun Decay: Every second an enemy is stunned by [Poison Swamp, Inner Land Mine, and Thunder Bot] makes the next stun 0.5% shorter.

  • Miss Decay: Every successful attack miss caused by Land Mine Stun Mastery and Harmony Conductor makes the next miss 12.5% less likely

  • Death Defy Decay: Every successful Death Defy activation from an enemy makes the next Death Defy from the same enemy 10% less likely.

These three conditions are present for both Tier runs and Tournament runs. Our testing found no decrease in waves for our general player base, but if we receive reports of decreases from non stun-only builds, we will re-evaluate these numbers, where these effects are present, and when these effects kick in. We will improve the in-game visibility of these changes to core gameplay mechanics in a future update.

Other Fixes:

  • Guild Chat's filtering system has been reverted

  • Ultimate Weapons no longer auto activate on start, and instead persist their exact Cooldown state on app restart

  • Vampire Elites no longer incorrectly increment the Damage Blocked stat

  • Death Defy is no longer capped at 40% (bonuses like assist modules can push the limits)
